Toile Society

Toile Society was born in the spring of 2020 from the idea of two friends, Marta Forghieri and Virginia Simoni, to realize their dreams of a dreamlike and ideal nature, matured during the long time they spent at home. The aim is to create timeless clothing thanks to the exclusive use of Toile de Jouy fabrics: a figurative style that has survived the centuries and is still considered an icon of classicism and elegance. The Toile de Jouy design of the fabrics is an exclusive Toile Society design and the print was created thanks to digital technologies. Toile Society is an artisanal project that supports small and large Italian companies. The garments in the collections are all unique pieces made of pure silk or cotton, printed in Como, and handmade in a tailor store near Milan. The project does not follow the logic of the seasons but uses natural fabrics such as pure silk and cotton that can be worn all year round. The garments are made to measure, they are made to order to avoid overproduction and ensure sustainable production. The models are designed to be timeless and escape the seasonal logic of the fashion system, therefore the models are continuous.
